Bench Multimeters
Bench multimeters offer far greater resolution and stability than a handheld, trading portability for the digit count and low noise that laboratory and production measurement needs.

Digit count is the headline specification, but what actually matters is basic DC accuracy over a stated period and temperature range, since a six-digit display on a drifting instrument is six digits of uncertainty. Four-wire resistance measurement is essential for low-value work, and built-in scanning or a card slot lets one meter serve many channels. Confirm the interface, whether USB, LAN or GPIB, if the meter will be automated.
