RF Detectors & Noise Sources
RF detectors convert a radio frequency signal into a proportional DC output, and noise sources provide a broadband reference for noise figure and gain measurement.
Keysight supplies this range. For detectors, the specifications that decide usefulness are frequency coverage, dynamic range and whether the response is square law or logarithmic, since the latter compresses a wide range into a manageable output. For noise sources, the excess noise ratio and its calibration data are what make a noise figure measurement traceable, and the supplied data table is as important as the hardware. Confirm connector interface and bias requirements.
