Multiple Output Power Supplies

Multiple output DC power supplies provide two or more independently controlled outputs in one instrument, which suits powering a circuit that needs several rails.

Beyond the per-channel voltage and current ratings, check whether outputs are genuinely isolated from each other, because floating one rail on top of another to create a split supply only works if they are. Tracking and series or parallel combining modes are useful for symmetric supplies and for exceeding a single channel rating. Confirm total power, since the sum of all channels at maximum is often less than the individual ratings would suggest.
