The Dwyer Instruments HFH-2-05 is a low-cost, in-line flow monitor from the Series HF, designed to provide accurate and reliable flow measurement in a variety of industrial applications. Utilizing a unique floating sharp-edged orifice disk and variable area flow measurement principle, this flowmeter delivers an accuracy of ±2.5% over the center one-third of its scale. Its design allows for accurate performance even with fluid viscosities up to 500 SSU, making it versatile for many process fluids.
All internal wetted parts are contained within a sealed metal tubular casing, ensuring a virtually maintenance-free unit. The flowing media forces linear motion of a spring-loaded, sharp-edge orifice disk and a ring-shaped transfer magnet, which ride on a tapered center shaft. The transfer magnet drives a clearly visible magnet follower located outside the flow tube, protected under a clear polycarbonate tube. A ring on the magnet follower indicates the flow rate on a direct reading scale.
