Function-Arb Waveform Generators
Function and arbitrary waveform generators produce standard waveforms and user-defined shapes for stimulating a circuit under test.
RIGOL, Siglent, Instek and Teledyne LeCroy cover this range. Maximum frequency is the headline figure, but for arbitrary work the sample rate, vertical resolution and waveform memory depth determine how faithfully a defined shape is reproduced, and a generator with shallow memory will not hold a long complex sequence. Channel count matters if you need two related signals with controlled phase. Check whether modulation, sweep and burst modes are included, and whether the output amplitude range suits your load without an external attenuator.
RIGOL DG922 Pro two-channel arbitrary waveform generator with 200 MHz bandwidth, 1.25 GS/s sampling, 16 Mpts memory, and 16-bit resolution.
