Antennas
Measurement antennas provide a known, characterised response so that field strength and emissions figures mean something, which a communications antenna cannot do.
Keysight, TekBox, Rohde & Schwarz and Anritsu cover this range. The specification that makes an antenna usable for measurement is the supplied calibration or antenna factor data, since the reading has to be corrected by that factor to become a field strength. Type follows the frequency band and the standard: biconical and log periodic antennas cover EMC ranges, horns suit higher microwave frequencies, and loops handle magnetic field measurement. Confirm the connector interface and whether a tripod and mount are included.
The Keysight N9311X/504 is a high-performance log periodic directional antenna covering 700 MHz to 4 GHz. With 10 dBi gain and a 60° beamwidth, it ensures reliable signal reception and precise testing for RF professionals.
