Chart Recorders
Chart recorders produce a physical trace of a measurement against time, which some procedures and older quality systems still specify in preference to an electronic record.
MadgeTech, Dwyer Instruments, Monarch and Extech cover this range. Circular chart recorders suit a fixed rotation period such as 24 hours or seven days, while strip charts run continuously at a set speed. The practical considerations are consumables and drive: confirm chart paper and pen or stylus availability before committing, since a recorder whose charts are discontinued becomes scrap. Check the input types supported and whether battery operation is needed for portable survey work.
