Paperless Recorders

Paperless recorders replace chart paper with a display and internal memory, showing trends on screen and storing data for export.

Endress+Hauser supplies this range. The advantages over a chart recorder are no consumables, far longer retention and data that leaves the instrument in a usable form. The specifications that matter are channel count and input types, sample interval against memory depth, and how data is retrieved, whether by removable media, Ethernet or fieldbus. For regulated environments, confirm the unit produces a tamper-evident record with an audit trail, since that is usually the reason a paperless recorder is specified in the first place.
