Transducers
Transducers convert a physical variable into an electrical signal, typically a millivolt or voltage output that requires external conditioning rather than a loop-powered 4-20 mA.
Panametrics supplies this range. The distinction from a transmitter matters practically: a transducer output is low level and needs an amplifier or data acquisition input nearby, which limits cable length but gives faster response and higher resolution. Confirm the excitation requirement, the full-scale output and the process connection and wetted materials. Check the overpressure or overrange rating against the worst case your system can produce, since transducers are easily damaged beyond span.
The Panametrics UTXDR transducer pair, designed for the UTX878, delivers reliable ultrasonic thickness measurement for corrosion monitoring and industrial inspection. Featuring an adjustable clamping fixture, this precision transducer ensures accurate, repeatable readings in demanding environments.
