Centrifuges
Laboratory centrifuges separate components of a sample by density using centrifugal force, across clinical, research and industrial applications.
Benchmark Scientific, Ohaus and Hermle cover this range. Specify the required g-force rather than rotor speed, because the same rpm produces very different force depending on rotor radius, and a protocol written in g cannot be met by matching rpm alone. Rotor type follows the separation: fixed-angle rotors are faster and suit pelleting, swing-out rotors give a flatter interface for gradients. Confirm tube format and capacity, and whether refrigeration is needed for heat-sensitive samples, since that changes both footprint and price.
The BenchMark Scientific Z496-K Universal Centrifuge delivers high-speed performance up to 16,000 x g with versatile rotor options for diverse lab applications. Featuring precise temperature control and advanced safety features, it ensures reliable, efficient sample processing.
