Moisture instruments measure water content in solids, liquids and gases, a measurement that takes very different forms depending on the material.

GE, FLIR, Cole-Parmer, EdgeTech and Ohaus cover this range. Moisture analysers using loss on drying heat a sample and weigh the difference, which suits plastics, food and powders. Chilled mirror and capacitive hygrometers measure dew point in gas streams for compressed air and process gas work. Pin and pinless meters read moisture in wood and building materials for survey work. These methods are not interchangeable and each is calibrated for a material class, so tell us the material and the range you expect.
