Platform Balances
Platform balances put the weighing pan on a separate platform from the indicator, which suits bulky items and allows the display to be mounted where it can be read.

Capacity and readability come first, but platform dimensions relative to the load are what determine whether readings are consistent, since a load overhanging the platter distributes force unevenly. Consider whether the indicator needs to be wall or column mounted to keep it clear of the process. Confirm the ingress protection rating if the area is wet or washed down, and whether counting, checkweighing or percentage modes are needed.
