Handheld Oscilloscopes
Handheld oscilloscopes put waveform capture where the fault is, combining a scope, meter and often a recorder in a battery-powered, insulated body.
Fluke, Teledyne LeCroy and AEMC cover this range. Bandwidth is lower than a comparable bench instrument, but that is rarely the constraint in field work. What matters is isolation, because channels that are galvanically isolated from each other and from ground let you probe a motor drive or a floating supply without creating a short through the mains earth. Check the safety category rating for the circuits you work on, and confirm battery runtime and whether a recording mode captures events unattended.
Handheld Fluke ScopeMeter for field troubleshooting, waveform analysis, and industrial electrical maintenance. Two channels, 100 MHz bandwidth, 2.5 GS/s sampling, AutoSet, Connect-and-View, and TrendPlot.
The Teledyne LeCroy T3DSOH1102 handheld oscilloscope offers 2 channels, 100 MHz bandwidth, 1 GS/s sampling, 12 Mpts memory, a 7-inch WVGA display, and USB control. Request a quotation.
